Basically, you pushed forward on the joystick to accelerate forward, pulled back to decelerate or fly backwards and moved the stick left and right to turn left and right. What was drastically simplified was the control system. SimCopter actually has a fairly detailed flight model which models things like the effects of having a large bucket full of water suspended 50 feet below your helicopter pretty well. The adverts on the radio are highly entertaining, many of them taking sly digs at other Sim games and the comments which emerge from the chopper's load hailer can sometimes be a bit shocking. Fly low over the hills which surround the city and you will see that they teem with wild life. Naturally you lose points if you actually let go. Do this several hundred feet up in the air and as you drag them, a look of terror comes over their features and their hair stands on end. Tired of a passenger? Drag them to the main screen using the mouse and you can throw them out. The gameplay in SimCopter is absorbing and satisfying, but what makes the game a bit special is all the little extra touches Maxis has seen fit to include in the game. There are eight helicopters on offer in the hanger but find yourself a military base somewhere in your city and you may be able to lay your hands on something far more suitable for putting down riots. Soon though as the money comes rolling in, you will be able to trade it in for bigger and better things. You start your career with the smallest chopper in the game, a dinky three seater with the carrying capacity of a gnat. Obviously special equipment will be needed for many of these tasks but luckily there is a shop in your home hanger which can provide you with all the necessities of life as a chopper pilot. There are nine types of mission in SimCopter ranging from the humdrum (clearing traffic jams) to the heroic (plucking sims from the top of speeding trains) and the fascist (putting down riots). There is no career to follow but a number of sliders allows you to choose what kinds of missions and their difficulty will be offered to you. In user mode on the other hand, you are flying through a city you have created yourself (or at least downloaded from one of the numerous SimCity 2000 web sites to be found on the net). There are ten levels of difficulty, and the player has the option of progressing to the next level of difficulty or moving to another city at the same difficulty level as their present city at the end of the level. When you move from city to city, you take all your helicopters and cash with you. In the career mode, you fly through SimCopter's own cities trying to earn enough points to proceed to the next city where tougher tasks will await you. Should you already own a copy of Sim City 2000 (and lets face it, who doesn't), you can load any city you have created into SimCopter and fly through it to your heart's content. As it says prominently on the SimCopter box, Sim City 2000 is not required to play SimCopter as the game comes with 30 cities of its own. " SimCopter puts the player in the role of a jobbing helicopter pilot seeking a living by moving from city to city existing on the meager payments they receive for such deeds as plucking citizens from the roofs of burning buildings and suppressing riots. One of the most original - and most overlooked - entries in Maxis' blockbuster SimCity series, SimCopter is an interesting and fun simulation that lets you get up close and personal with your own city. It’s vital that the matrix is filled out by actual stakeholders with skin in the game. How do you create an effort impact matrix?Ĭreating an impact effort matrix is simple and straightforward with Miro’s template: Using these quadrants, you can easily visualize which tasks will reap the greatest benefits for your customers. High-impact and maximum-effort: Major projects that need a lot of attention but have a large impact on your customers. They’re actions that impact your customers significantly and don’t require a lot of work from you. High-impact and minimum-effort: These tasks are your quick wins. They’re also known as time-wasters or thankless tasks. Maximum-effort and low-impact: Tasks that require a lot of time and effort on your part but have little impact on your customers. Minimal-effort and low-impact: Also known as fill-ins, these activities require little work and have little impact on your customers. Tasks and projects that’ll have little impact on your customers Projects that’ll take longer but are still worth doing Tasks and projects that yield the best results in the least amount of time Filling out this Impact Effort Matrix Template helps team leaders prioritize the following: What is an impact effort matrix template?Īn impact effort matrix (also known as an action priority matrix) is a decision-making tool. Align your priorities and get projects on track while reducing wasted time and energy. Very good support of the IFC file format, which allows you to export and import models from/to other BIM applications. Many ways to structure and organize your models, with no predefine structure (you organize your model the same way as you organize files and folders on your computer, you decide). We need help to model more parametric components, though! Basic tools for MEP/piping BIM work such as pipes, and already a few MEP objects in the library.Structural BIM objects (columns, beams, slabs, metallic profiles, etc.) with built-in wire representation.Architectural BIM objects (the usual ones like walls, windows, stairs, etc.).Generic 3D objects such as extrusions, unions, subtractions, intersections (all usable as BIM components).2D drawing tools (all the usual ones like lines, arcs, polylines, rectangles, etc.) plus pretty powerful, complex, constrainable sketches with common drafting aid environment such as snapping, working planes, etc. There is much more than that, refer to the full documentation to know more. This is a rather short overview of what it can do, just to give you a taste of it. If you are working with IFC files, give it a look! Features Note: The NativeIFC addon is being developed as an upgrade/extension of this add-on. You are more than welcome to try, give us your feedback and help us to build a better BIM workflow, just remember that some features might change or disappear without notice over time. Although it is perfectly safe to use, and won't break anything, it is meant to be an place where we can try things and experiment, and not a production environment (yet). In the BIM workbench, we try to ease that curve as best as we can. FreeCAD is a powerful application, but has a rather steep learning curve. The BIM workbench, rather than trying to be a all-in-one, independent application and mimic the above ones, integrates into all layers of FreeCAD and allows you to use all the other moldeling and analysis tools of FreeCAD for BIM purposes too.īut one of the specific goals of this particular workbench, is to try to focus on user experience. This book has been written originally by Yorik van Havre, (and corrected, proof-read or updated by many other people) but using a lot of information built by FreeCAD users, mostly from the FreeCAD wiki. This is a workbench for FreeCAD that implements a complete set of Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and allows a proper BIM workflow similar to professional BIM applications like Revit, ArchiCAD, Tekla, AllPlan or BricsCAD.įreeCAD is an open-source generic, parametric 3D modeling application. At this address, you can also find and download all the files that have been created during the different exercises that are part of this book. The source files of this manual are hosted on github. You can also read it directly from github pagesĪll the contents of this manual are published under the Creative Commons 4.0 license, and can be freely used, downloaded, copied, and modified. PDF, EPUB and MOBI versions of the original editions can be found in the Releases section. It is now in the process of being updated to the upcoming 0.19. This manual has been originally written for the stable version of FreeCAD at that time, which was version 0.16. However, we hope that the more step-by-step pace, based on examples, and the more unified tone given by a smaller number of authors, will make it more suitable for a first contact with FreeCAD, and that it will become a perfect companion for the wiki. This manual will walk you through the same information available on the wiki. This makes it a precious resource for reference, but not a very practical tool to learn FreeCAD. The wiki is written collaboratively by dozens of community members and, like most wikis, it contains huge amounts of information, but is very hard to access and navigate by newcomers. This manual is an experiment at taking the opposite way from the official FreeCAD documentation wiki. The data you produce with FreeCAD is fully yours, and can be recovered without FreeCAD.įreeCAD is also fundamentally a social project, as it is developed and maintained by a community of developers and users united by their passion for FreeCAD. FreeCAD is free to download, use, distribute and modify, and its source code is open and published under the very permissive LGPL license. It is made primarily to model real-world objects, ranging from the small electronic components up to buildings and civil engineering projects, with a strong focus on 3D-printable objects. IntroductionįreeCAD is a free, open-source parametric 3D modeling application. If you wish to propose edits, please do them there, as this repository will be kept only for generating the ebook versions and will not be directly edited anymore. Important Note: The manual has been moved to the official FreeCAD wiki which is now its new home. In the present study, we performed this network meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials to investigate the relative efficacy and safety of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the first-line and second-line treatments for patient with advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, respectively. However, there is no empirical evidence for the comparison of efficacy and safety among the different immune checkpoint inhibitors. Various immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown effective antitumor activity in advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. Blocking the immune checkpoint pathway can promote T-cell migration, proliferation, secretion of cytotoxic mediators and enhance immune response to cancer. Immune checkpoint inhibitors, such as programmed death receptor 1 (PD-1) or its ligand (PD-L1) inhibitor and anti-cytotoxic T-lymphocyte antigen 4 (CTLA-4) antibody, have been proposed in multiple solid carcinomas. Immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown significant survival benefits for patients with advanced esophageal cancer in several clinical trials. However, the overall survival of this population remains poor with an estimated median of 12 months. Combination fluoropyrimidine plus platinum-based chemotherapy and single-agent chemotherapy are recommended as the first-line and second-line treatments for patients with advanced or metastatic esophageal cancer, respectively. Many esophageal cancers are advanced or metastatic at diagnosis. PROSPERO registration number: (CRD 42021261554).Įsophageal cancer is the seventh most common cancer and ranks sixth for cancer-related mortality worldwide, with squamous-cell carcinoma (ESCC) accounting for approximately 85% of cases. The toxicity of immunotherapy was different from conventional chemotherapy, but manageable in patients with ESCC. Sintilimab and Camrelizumab were the preferred options for OS and PFS in refractory patients respectively. This study found that Toripalimab and Camrelizumab plus chemotherapy were likely to be the best option in terms of OS and PFS in the first-line setting for patients with advanced or metastatic ESCC respectively. Camrelizumab and Nivolumab had the less adverse events of grade 3 or higher in the first and refractory setting, respectively. The toxicity related to immunotherapy was manageable in clinical trials. In refractory patients, Sintilimab and Camrlizumab were most likely to be ranked first on OS (probability, 37%) and PFS (probability, 94%). Toripalimab and Camrelizumab plus chemotherapy were preferred to rank first on OS (probability, 61%) and PFS (probability, 37%) in the first-line setting, respectively. Ten eligible trials with 5250 patients were included. Outcomes included overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), overall response rate and adverse events. We conducted Bayesian network meta-analysis to assess the relative effects among treatments. We searched Medline, Web of Science, Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, Embase, Clinical and several international conference databases from Januto December 19, 2021. The study aimed to compare efficacy and safety of various immune checkpoint inhibitors for patients with advanced or metastatic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). That’s where the TextExpander menu bar app comes in. The only problem that comes with integrating TextExpander comprehensively into your workflow is that you end up with more snippets and abbreviations than you can remember. It’s one of those apps I wish I’d started using a long time ago. I use TextExpander for everything from the aforementioned, obvious stuff to my brand HEX colours, blog CTAs, and social media profile URLs. Whether it’s your mailing address, email sign-off, or company VAT number, you can simply add it to TextExpander and assign an abbreviation (which is essentially a keyboard shortcut that calls up that stored text). And I haven’t looked back since.įor the uninitiated, TextExpander simply helps you build a database of text that you type repetitively. Those people regularly talked about its time-saving abilities and the constant inspiration they encountered for creating new ‘snippets’. I’d heard about TextExpander from countless other creators before I took the plunge and tried it myself. I’m not a heavy user of that area of the screen, but there are five apps up there that I couldn’t do without you’d need a crowbar to remove my grip from them, in fact. I realised the other day that one of the key components of this strategy is the macOS menu bar. I work in very tight production timescales, and that means I need systems and processes that remain consistent and reliable. If I had to spend half a day configuring Trello or a couple of hours moving and organising all of my writing work in Scrivener, I hadn’t really lost anything. That was fine back then there was less of a commercial imperative behind my use of that stuff. Before I started Mark Ellis Reviews, I’d regularly try out different writing apps, productivity tools, and project management platforms on my Mac. I’ve often said that it takes a lot for me to switch from one piece of software to an alternative. |
